What You'll Need

8 ounces (about 2 cups) elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
8 ounces frozen or peeled fresh pearl onions
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell’s® Condensed Fiesta Nacho Cheese Soup
1 1/3 cups milk
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup Pace® Picante Sauce

How to Make It

  • 1

Heat the oven to 350°F.  Place the macaroni and onions into a large bowl.

  • 2

Stir the soup, milk and 3 tablespoons butter in a 1-quart saucepan.  Heat over medium heat for 5 minutes or until the mixture is hot and smooth, whisking occasionally.

  • 3

Pour the soup mixture over the macaroni and onions.  Stir in the picante sauce and mix well.  Season with salt and black pepper.

  • 4

Butter a 2-quart baking dish with the remaining butter.  Pour the macaroni mixture into the baking dish.  Cover the baking dish with foil.

  • 5

Bake for 30 minutes or until the macaroni mixture is hot.

  • Ingredient Note: To peel fresh pearl onions, plunge the onions into boiling water for 1 minute, then drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water.  The skins will loosen, making them easy to peel once the root end is trimmed off.
