Bloody Mojito Recipe

What You'll Need

2 cups water
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup rum
1/2 cup V8® Mint & Lime Vegetable Juice
3/4 cup club soda
1 cup ice

How to Make It

    To make the simple syrup, heat the water and sugar in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.  Reduce the heat to medium and cook for 3 minutes.  Reserve 2 tablespoons simple syrup and save the remainder for another use.

    Stir the rum, vegetable juice, club soda and reserved simple syrup in a small pitcher.

    Fill 2 glasses with the ice.  Divide the mixture between the glasses.

  • Time-Saving: You can substitute 3/4 cup lemon lime-flavored soda for the club soda and simple syrup.
  • Tomato Watermelon Basil Mojito: Muddle 1/3 cup watermelon pieces and 4 sprigs fresh basil leaves in the bottoms of the glasses before adding the remaining ingredients.
  • Jalapeño Cilantro Mojito: Muddle 4 slices seeded jalapeño pepper and 4 sprigs fresh cilantro in the bottoms of the glasses before adding the remaining ingredients. 
  • Mango Cilantro Mojito: Muddle 1/3 cup mango pieces and 4 sprigs fresh cilantro in the bottoms of the glasses before adding the remaining ingredients.
  • Cucumber Basil Mojito: Muddle 8 slices cucumber and 4 sprigs fresh basil leaves in the bottoms of the glasses before adding the remaining ingredients.
