What You'll Need

1 can (2.8 ounces) French's® French fried onions (about 1 1/3 cups)
1/3 cup dried sweetened coconut
2 egg whites
1 pound fresh large shrimp, peeled and deveined

How to Make It

    Heat the oven to 400ºF.  Place the onions and coconut into a gallon size resealable plastic bag.  Seal the bag.  Lightly crush the onions with a rolling pin.  Shake the bag until the mixture is combined.

    Beat the egg whites in a shallow dish with a fork or whisk.  Dip the shrimp into the egg whites.  Coat with the onion mixture.  Place the shrimp onto a rimmed baking sheet.

    Bake for 10 minutes or until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through.

  • Flavor Variation: For a flavor twist, stir 1 teaspoon curry powder into the onion mixture.
