What You'll Need

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 1/4 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves or skinless, boneless chicken thighs, cut into cubes
1 each medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 ounces) Prego® Chunky Garden Mushroom & Green Pepper Italian Sauce
1/4 cup dry red wine or water
1/2 package of a 1-pound package cooked rotini (spiral) pasta, drained

How to Make It

  • 1

    Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and onion and cook for 10 minutes or until the chicken is browned, stirring often.  Add the garlic and cook and stir for 1 minute.

    Stir in the sauce and wine and heat to a boil.  Reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.  Serve the chicken mixture with the rotini.

  • Serving Suggestion: Serve with steamed whole green beans and yellow beans and soft wheat dinner rolls. For dessert serve mini eclairs.
