What You'll Need

1 1/2 pounds boneless pork shoulder, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth or Swanson® Chicken Stock
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (about 28 ounces) diced tomatoes
2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces
1 large green pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
1 can (about 15 ounces) red kidney beans, rinsed and drained

How to Make It

    Coat the pork with the flour.

    Heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook until well browned, stirring often. Remove the pork from the skillet.

    Stir the broth, chili powder, cumin, hot pepper sauce and garlic in the skillet and heat to a boil.

  • 4

    Stir the broth mixture, pork, tomatoes, potatoes, pepper, onion and beans in a 6-quart slow cooker.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours or until the pork is fork-tender.
