What You'll Need

8 ounces pitted dried prunes
8 ounces pitted dried apricots
8 ounces mixed dried fruit
1/2 cup raisins
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup orange juice
2 cups water
1 cup slivered almonds

How to Make It

    Heat the prunes, apricots, mixed fruit, raisins, cinnamon stick, orange juice and water in a 2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes or until the fruit softens.

    Place the almonds on a greased baking sheet and bake at 450°F. for 5 to 10 minutes or until they're browned. Stir the toasted almonds in the saucepan and serve the fruit mixture warm.
