A snack attack can happen any time of day, whether you’re on the go, at the office or relaxing at home. Instead of opting for quick (and often unhealthy) fixes, like chips or candy bars, have a healthier plan in mind so you can make better-for-you choices when the munchies hit. The key to snacks that satisfy is to avoid refined grains (white bread, soft pretzels, muffins) and simple sugars (candy, soft drinks, sweets) and instead go for a combination of complex carbohydrates (whole grains, fruits and vegetables) and proteins.
