Quick & Easy Entertaining with Family & Friends

This time of year is busy for all of us. Here are some of our favorite tips for making the season’s entertaining a breeze:

  1. Lasagna and baked pasta dishes are two perfect entrées for casual entertaining. They’re great because they can be assembled ahead of time (even frozen!), and easily serve four or more people. Simply pair the dish with a big tossed salad and hot-from-the-oven garlic bread, and you’ve got dinner in no time!
  2. Finger foods and appetizers are terrific ways to welcome guests to your house, and preparing them doesn’t have to be complicated at all. Simple dips, fondues and bread sticks are great starters for spectacular feasting.
  3. A pasta bar is fun dinner option when you need to feed a houseful of guests. Cook a couple of your favorite shapes or types of pasta (say, spaghetti and purchased tortellini), then warm purchased frozen meatballs, cooked Italian sausage and peeled, deveined shrimp in some of your favorite Prego® sauces. Have stir-in options such as sliced olives, marinated artichoke hearts, fresh spinach leaves and tangy goat cheese – your guests will love concocting their own pasta creations! And be sure to have plenty of grated Parmesan cheese for sprinkling over the pasta as well!
  4. With the kids on break from school, why not host a make-your-own pizza party to keep them entertained? Purchased crusts or English muffin halves are the blank canvases for their very own personalized pies – just set out bowls of Prego sauces and favorite pizza toppings, and let their imaginations and taste buds run wild!
